FLY ME TO THE MOON

Today Is Friday and I have Wet Willie Blasting Loudly today "Friday Evening What A Feeling.... Weekend, Do what you wanna do Weekend..."Ironically enough same group sings another Favorite "Keep Smiling" guess that is for us to play to chase away the Melancholy Monday Madness that is sure to be here sooner than desired. Truth of the Matter is, we can carry the same Liberations regardless of what is amidst us and shame on us when we fail to do so.  I had someone tell me that I looked like a super hero in my fashionable workout attire and as I giggled later I realized, behold, I am a Super Hero, in fact, we all are. 

When we are Chasing after our Dreams indeed we often need Super Hero Ability, Christopher Reeve was quoted as saying, "So many of our Dreams seem Impossible, Improbable, and then we will Summon the Will they soon become Inevitable." Clark Kent was maybe not a lot to many people as himself except for Lois Lane, and somehow I believe that was enough for ole Clark; but how Marvelous that his alter ego was indeed the one everyone Swooned over or coveted to become. Still do this many years later. What I take from this is that we all have the Super Hero Alter Ego Opportunity there for the taking to Capture our Dreams and Lasso them into existence. When situations arise that seem impossible whisper to yourself the words, "This is a Job for Superman" and just see what happens, the spark from deep within that ignites your very core, it permeates your entire being and the smirk or smile is Electric as if bolts are sparking from it as the corners of your mouth rise and curl up,  the glisten in your eyes is as Powerful as a Transformer and ironically enough it transforms you into a Caped Crusader.

In order for our Super Powers to evolve I believe you have to Own that Alter Ego, that ability to Defy and Conquer.  That no matter what happens, you are NOT giving up and giving in to Settle.  "A Hero is an Ordinary Individual who finds the Strength to Persevere and Endure in Spite of Overwhelming Obstacles" again quote from Christopher Reeve. I truly am deliriously in Love with Life and all the Astounding Opportunities that simply are there for the Taking and what is so Eye Opening is the very  Moment that our Dream becomes inherent it is then that our Passion for the Dream erupts like a volcano and as the lava and ash explodes and detonates, that is Energy like no other. 

Today is the best day; right now, to let your hair down and loosen up that tie and take a gander at your alter ego and what it is that drives you. The Wonderment Of Life is Living beyond what is Attainable within your regular reach, Moreover that settling is full of Complacency, Dullness and becomes down right boring. EYES WIDE OPEN

I was recently mulling over Life with a friend, that is probably my utmost favorite Past time, indeed, Alas it is true, I am a Ponderer. I just get lost in it. I am free to Roam and Venture wherever my Heart and Thoughts take me and at times it is quite the adventure I must say.  I just love to watch People we are all so unique and funny creatures honestly, I like to delve in from afar as to figure out what makes them tick or what stands out about them the most to me, a complete stranger yet taking notice of them and taking the time to assess. Even more so, I wonder what am I projecting to those I pass by?

I passed a Family of three the other day that struck me odd at first glance; they seemed as if they should be hiking the French Alps in Europe yet they were merely walking along the sandy shore of the beach. Picture if you will, this Mother, Father and little boy, the child is in a backpack liken to what hikers use, both parents were walking with Trekking Poles, yes I did a double take to say the least and giggled quietly under my breath. Dismissed almost instantly from the perimeters of my brain and ceased to allow my thoughts to continue any further because I found them to be so out of place, obscure if you will. Truth is, this peculiar little Family continued to  stay in my head as if the last lingering party guest has overstayed their welcome.  Inquisition set in like a Mighty River flowing with fury; flooding my thoughts and holding me Captive to the bewildering notion of what was this Families Story? 

This Pesky little Family had over run my thoughts and dominated my attention. I liken them to us pursuing our Dreams and Goals. You see, this Distinctive Family may have missed the Mark, by a long shot on the sandy beaches, I have never been hiking but I know the hiking sticks are there to help brace when going downhill or to aid in going up hill and I haven't been on a beach that wasn't flat. So again...what is their Story? I said hello as I gaped past them, and His voice is still with me today. It was Peppy and Effervescent with the Enthusiasm I coveted. Who knows if this Family merely lost a bet to Truth or Dare and that is all it was about but what I want  you to take away as you read this, merely is; what are you telling others about yourself without uttering a single word? You assume everyone sees life perhaps through your own eyes and clearly sees you the way you do, meanwhile it is a whirlwind of confusion from their vantage point. How do you handle yourself when you fall flat on your face and mess up? What about when your Dream you were Chasing evolved into a Night Mare? 

If you are gut wrenching honest with yourself, you might not like what you see at times. I have my hand up for sure probably several times a day in fact. You see it is not that these things happening is the problem at all, because it is simply Life and we are very unperfect people no matter how hard we try. It is soley in how we handle them with the honestly and liberty to be true to ourselves and bare that to those around us. I am inspired by this Family because they left me changed and I want to portray that as I set forth to obtain my Dreams.  That whether it all works out or goes bust I dust myself off and grab the smallest of dabs if that is all I possess and I Dream and go forth and muster up the Inspiration of the Unknown. My Mother was so right, "Your Attitude is your Altitude". Here is a portion from a wonderful article in The Huffington Post titled just that.

RISE AND SHINE

I found myself on the shores of the most captivating beach, literally in my back yard.... almost and yet as if I had traveled around the world to behold this Majestic Beauty. Enthralled by all my senses as they drank in the intoxicating smell of the salty air that came from the waters , the sounds of the waves moving and circulating all together as liken to a  Symphony being conducted by the most talented of Directors and as if the most moving of Opera's bellowing out the unfathomable notes that emotions are aroused from deep within and brought to life as the waves crashed onto the shore in glorious harmony, the Beauty to behold was Bewitching; looking out I sat on the shore to endless allurement, for as far as my little eyes could perceive it was so awakening to my Soul that is how our Life is ahead of each of us. Some may call it a blank canvas, I refer to the shore line and all of it's Splendor. I was overwhelmed with all the thoughts that invaded my mind and feelings that surged through my being of all the possibilities I could Embark on. I fell back onto the sandy shore my hair cascading between the grains of sand and the coolness of the earth beneath me I was Empowered and felt a force that left me as a Crusader. See we are all given the Power to fulfill our lives with the depth and meaning of our Dreams and Purpose some of us just don't realize it or believe it. 

At Fifty, I am more enthralled with My Purpose and Dreams than ever before. As embers spark and ignite the dry wood causing the flames to unite and become an inferno I liken to our Passion. I have always been a star gazer and head in the clouds kinda gal but I possess deep hidden roots,  not flighty, moreover; strong as in  the Mighty Oak. Fueled with Tenacity we should move with all of our  being driven to fulfill our Purpose and Dreams. Otherwise we find ourselves as the pieces of wood and other objects brought to shore with fury by the waves just tossed around and empty with no meaning. 

As I was shooting my gun the other day desperately trying to have the form, the keen eye and posture to hit the target and have the Confidence swelling within my being; so as we need to Possess our Dreams and Passions the same way. We arm ourselves for Protection against anything that would try to take something or intruders or worse harm. We need to Own our Purpose and Dreams, we need to identify with them and guard against anything that would try to come between that just as we do with our Homes, Possessions and Family. I am talking Self Doubt, Fear, Confusion, Comparing to Others, the list goes on and on. There is a noticeable, solid difference between Pie in the Sky Dreams and One who Owns their Destiny. Pie in the Sky means a future reward after death, considered as a replacement for a reward not received on earth; something good that is unlikely to happen if an idea or plan is pie in the sky; it seems good but is not likely to be achieved. An empty wish or promise.

 So many of you reading this today will undeniably identify with desiring but not daring to fall and Own it.  Oh that is when Life begins to take you on the Dance of your Life into Orbit as I like to say about the things that Delight my Soul. Hold on to who you are created to be and live the life that you were designed to live NOW not in the sweet by and by. Allow Life and your Purpose and Dreams fueled with Passion to Lead you and you follow as in Dirty Dancing. As we sang as little children, Merrily, Merrily Life is But A Dream, get lost in it for  This Is The Wonderment Of Life.

ROAD TRIPPIN

Think back if you will to a moment where you were taking a trip, or embarking on a route that you haven't yet traveled. Close your eyes and let the emotions sweep in and invade your senses. There is the liberation and freedom from your normal routine and schedule, time off from work and you are able to navigate how the next few days will go. Excitement percolates within your being of the unknown and of  the destination you have chosen to travel to. Certain expectations bellow within of what you will encounter and experience. Life is like a Road Trip, like the Greatest Road Trip (I feel like Forest Gump)We have certain portions of our Lives Mapped out with our Routes and even Pit Stops in check. What happens once engaged in your travels and you hit the unexpected road blocks? Nerveracking at times because you have certain aspirations and planned out arrivals and you begin to feel stressed and anxious at times. The moment begins to fade and the melancholy sets in... you sometimes doubt yourself as if you shouldn't have even went there or next time you will most assuredly fly. It is at that precise moment that you embrace that Road Block and do as this quote says by Mastin Kipp inspires, "Instead of asking Why did this happen to me? Learn to ask what is the Lesson in this?" Within this mentality you will supersede all notion and propel yourself into a sphere that will take you to your desired destination with all the fervency and force unimaginable. 

I liken this to our Dreams and Purpose. This year our word for my Non Profit girls group is Purpose and Urban Dictionary defines it as The Force that drives us. I never was a Star Wars fan but didn't escape the classic statement "May the Force be with you". There's something to this of a deeper notion than most observe. Just as in our travels we too have a GPS within us to help drive us towards our ultimate Purpose and Dream. As you notice the GPS will often times reroute you and you are placing all your confidence within the fact that it will succeed and get you to your desired destination, we need to have the same Confidence and Assuredness that we will follow the force that drives us to our Dreams. I am obsessed with people who move with Passion in such a way I am spellbound. They are locked in and loaded with all the key elements that will undoubtably have you attest that they will surely succeed. Force defined is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us, it binds the galaxy together. That means all of us possess this force. The living field of energy, from Star Wars. I love this!! I am swept away with Merriment that as I am driven I will be  surrounded, penetrating my innermost being and binding me to my desired Dream. BAM! 

So today, embrace those road blocks and unexpected pit stops. So what that there is this delay or rerouted course allow that Force to drive you onward in such a way that others around you will undoubtably say, "that is a force to be reckoned with." A dear friend had me watch a show by Tony Robbins and I love what he shared, he spoke about the "bad" things that have occurred in our lives that they are there for a designed purpose and for him he had a not so great home life and Mom but he said without having that he wouldn't be able to love his wife and be all that he needed by what he learned from the unlovely moments. So get jiggy with these moments while others are missing the treasure be that force and  show them that The Wonderment in Life is when you can relish and bask in the Road Blocks for they are preparing you for your Dream.

"LOVE FOR ALL SEASONS"

This weekend has me Delirious, Enthralled with the Beauty of Simply Nature itself and the various elements that can change so quickly as in the cool, brisk weather that whisked in and awakened my Soul. The mere Wisdom that the Seasons show us as in especially here in the South, we can become Weary by the Incredible heat that once that cool breeze blows in you are mesmerized and transformed as you allow this change to entrance your senses as if dancing the most beautiful of Waltz's with all of it's soft, round, flowing movements. Slowly Metamorphosing by moving to the symphony of illustrious melodies as you find yourself awakened and revived. We need to allow ourselves to embrace these moments instead of resist or retreat because that Passion will emerge from deep within as we release and go with where this moment or Season takes you. I liken it to the dancers that are uptight and rigid,stopping and going counting their steps and trying to perform so perfectly they missed the feeling behind why they were even dancing. So many times that is us in pursuing our Dreams and Goals so afraid of failure that we will try to control our movements when in essence we were to be led by our hearts and us simply follow. 

It is an awakening to our truest selves when we can embrace our season and drink in all of its libations. Roll with the moments when you need to hibernate and refuel, or bundle up when bracing for the coldest months or you find yourself barefoot and fancy free on the shores of the beaches. As you relish in these times you are moving in such an effortless way towards your Dreams that you will have the staying power needed. You always hear there are the movers and the shakers it's meaning is defined as; People of energetic demeanor, who initiate change and influence events. 

We are the music makers,

So today, whatever Season you find yourself in allow yourself to step up and take the dance floor by storm. As Right Said Fred sang the Song Love for all Seasons; throw caution to the wind and just Dream and then follow after it as if your very Life depended on it; for This is The Wonderment Of Life.

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY

A Friend posted on Facebook today something that got me thinking, it said; "If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you." The Cambridge English Dictionary defines Challenge as this, (the situation of being faced with) something that needs great mental or physical effort in order to be done successfully and therefore tests a person's ability. How many times do we succumb to slowing our stride or detouring or completely getting off course because we just don't want to duel? Often times we are our worst contender. Perhaps it is deep rooted within our physcie that in our innermost parts of our Souls we lack the Courage to believe in Ourselves. But the invaluable truth is we all have the Courage, but for some of us it is simply out of shape and needs to be worked out and exercised. In order to Possess what drives us and ignites our Passion is to have the courage of your convictions,
to be brave and confident enough to do what you believe in. 

Think of it as a fitness routine, you can go to the gym all day long every day but not exert the Progression you will leave unchanged or hit a Plateau. No! In fact we are doing Super Sets, Interval Training, Isolation Exercises; adding protein and avoiding gluten we are Beasts about it but how often we avoid who we were designed to be in our Core in the depths of our Soul that embodies the Truth of who we truly are. Although we do not see our DNA that chemical, present at the centre of the cells of living things, that controls the structure and purpose of each cell and carries genetic information during reproduction that is who we really are. It is what defines us. Just as there are the many different body types, for instance the Pear or Apple shaped so are our Passions intricately woven unique to the each of us. We need to have the Courage to be Us. To be as Honest and Bare our Soul to Ourselves, liken to  as we stand in front of a mirror observing our outer body evaluating what needs to be "worked on" we need even so more importantly to do this with our Passion and Dreams within us. 

So come on! Get out of your Rut, Pack up and leave your Plateau and change up your Routine and get your Courage on! It is so intoxicating even more so than that rush of an incredible workout, it is effervescent which defined as an adjective it is A liquid that produces bubbles of gas and defined as a verb (I just love this) it is Active, Positive, and FULL of energy!! Holy Smokes! When we truly have our Passion chasing our Dreams in Shape, Possessing our Courage to be Confident of what we believe in,  it is Noticeable to all and that my Friends is The Wonderment of Life.

TWO MINUTE WARNING

I read something last night by Joel Osteen that Sparked something, opened my eyes if you will and it said this, "There are goals that God has put in you. Dreams, (he listed others but for the sake of my point I'm listing only the relevant)  they're lying dormant. When you can't seem to get a good break, you have to remember that those promises are still alive. You have to start calling them out." I looked up the word dormant and it means; sleeping, quiet as if asleep, inactive.  ME? Inactive? No Way! Well let me just tell you, I couldn't have been more surprised by myself!  I looked up inactive nothing pivotal there, then went to the synonyms of inactive and the one that popped up to me was sidelined. BOOM! Well, well, with Football around the corner by George, I got it! 


On the sidelines means just this:

Observing rather than taking part, out of the action, 
This idiom comes from sports. The sidelines are the two lines defining the sides of the court or playing field and the area immediately beyond them where, in such sports as football, the non-playing team members sit. It hit me like a Concussion, here I thought I was the Super Star Quarterback in my mind, running to score my Dream and Goals and ironically I was merely observing.


The number one thing that attracts me to someone is their Gumption and their Passion to see it through. No Matter What. You know the ones,  they would rather get penalties or flags thrown than not go for that ball and take it to the end zone. I just love it, and I thrive to have it and see it as the air I breathe.  I don't know if you today find yourself tackled or intercepted but get back in the game and bench anything stopping you from calling out that Dream or Goal today! Relish in delight that you are going to dance in that End Zone and go all the way down that field with the cheerleaders and the crowds roaring with excitement to allow that Passion to Propel you to your Dream. This is the Wonderment of Life.
